Uniform Policies
Uniform Closet
 Uniforms are required on all school days with the exception of designated school
"Spirit Days". On these special days, students will be allowed to dress in
accordance to the special theme for that day (e.g.; Colonial Day, Gold Rush Day, or other
school theme). Students may also wear their scout uniforms (Brownie, Cub, Girl, Camp Fire,
etc.) on the days when they have meetings immediately following school.
The pants, shorts, shirts and socks are available at any retail store
but the girl's plaid jumper and plaid skirt must be purchased at Merry Mart. You may buy any
clothing item from the Girls or Boys list. You do not have to buy every item listed but
all items bought must be on the list. Sweatshirts and sweaters worn in the
classroom must match the uniform requirements of navy, white or burgundy. Girl students may wear any combination of either shorts, skorts, pants or jumpers with either a blouse, polo shirt or turtleneck.
Either Marymount or Manchester styles may be worn. There is also a
lay-away plan available at Merry Mart.

The following are not appropriate attire at school:
- baggie pants (because of safety reasons)
- oversize shirts (because of safety reasons)
- torn or worn, poor condition garments
- sandals, including "jellies" (because of safety reasons)
- platform shoes (because of safety reasons)
- bike shorts as outerwear
- leggings as outerwear
- sweatshirts with other logos (only Los Alamitos)

Uniform Closet
Our
PTA maintains a Uniform Closet near the cafeteria. Donated uniforms are
used as "loaners" if a student has a spill during the school
day. We also have occasional uniform sales which are publicized in
advance in the weekly Lion's Roar. If you are in need of a uniform
or have uniform pieces to donate, please check with the school office.
