Assemblies
Each year the Los Alamitos PTA sponsors assembly presentations for our
students. In the past these have included theatre productions on historical
and literary topics, musical presentations on percussion, opera and classical
music as well as science presentations on California wildlife and ocean
stewardship. Assemblies that we had in the past include:

Spirit of the Winter
Holidays
Young Audiences of Silicon Valley
This multicultural celebration of winter holidays comes to Los
Alamitos with stories and songs for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
Mara draws upon her talents as an actress, singer, and dancer to
create characters that live on long after she leaves the stage.

Fun with Physics
Jest in Time
Professor I.M. Smart (Todd Victor) shrinks his head, has toilet paper
flying, juggles and has the audience’s hair standing on end all
while demonstrating the principals of physics. It is a great
combination of comedy and science! For grade levels k-8. Length: 50
minutes

What is Opera
San Jose Opera Company
This is a lecture/demonstration that includes operatic excerpts with
piano accompaniment, performed by costumed singers, exploring a range
of languages, musical styles and historic periods. Question and answer
interaction with the audience is integral to the presentation.

Theatre of all Possibilities

Los Alamitos favorite, the Theatre of all Possibilities, will once
again team with five grade students for a memorable production on
literature around the world. The Spirit of America is a fun filled
journey through American history looking at important people and
events, or explore the land, history, and rich culture diversity of
"The Golden State."
